About Bai Ordo
Central asian restaurant
Bai Ordo is a pan-asian restaurant in Chicago, Illinois. It is listed at 2621 W Lawrence Ave, Chicago, IL 60625, which places it among the local businesses of Chicago that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chicago follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The food was really good and the portions are big. Their koordak was very tasty. The lamb and potatoes were fried, which is different from what Iβve had before (not sure which is more authentic). We also loved the lamb skewers, they were juicy. The rice and salad were great too. It was a bit salty compared to other places, but you can ask for less salt. We tried lagman as well, but it was our least favorite. The staff is kind and the place is cozy.

For a few hours, my friend and I thought we were actually in Kyrgyzstan. Amazing hospitality, absolutely delicious and authentic flavors. Fav dish was the lamp soup. The portion size was way bigger than we thought and prices were very fair. Chicken breast was very well flavored and grilled and we got that with palov which is served with beef slices and carrots which we really enjoyed too! Beef Samsa was on point as well! Looking forward to coming back with a bigger group!

We really loved the special menu! The mix of Mediterranean and Central Asian flavors was unique and perfectly balanced. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. We came as a group and everyone truly enjoyed the experience β great atmosphere, great service, and amazing food. Definitely a place we would come back to and recommend to others!

Bai Bordo is a Central Asian gem. Their lamb shank soup is absolutely incredibleβIβve never had a soup like this before. The staff are super kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. The atmosphere is amazing; I learned that the wall motifs are handmade, and theyβre truly works of art. Highly recommended!

A charming central Asian spot with friendly & no-frills service. We tried the boso lagman, lamb shank soup, and a beef samsa. The lagman was especially comforting with chewy noodles and a rich tomato-forward sauce. The lamb shank soup was hearty and aromatic with a lovely lamb-and-dill flavor - a perfect cold-weather comfort food. The samsa leaned a bit doughy and couldβve been crisper, but it was still tasty. Overall one of the stronger Central Asian spots weβve tried in the city.
